The second in our series of free gardening basics workshops is this Saturday April 10, 10 a.m. at the A.V. Sorenson Center, 48th & Cass Streets, in the meeting room (ground floor near west end of the building/parking lot.)
Dundee Community Gardener Rebecca Reagan will be giving tips for growing tomatoes, including when to transplant, how to pinch and prune, staking, preventing blossom end rot, etc. Workshop is free and open to Dundee Community Gardeners and friends of the garden!
Coffee provided by Blue Line; pastries provided by Bread Oven. Thank you to our sponsors!
Please bring your own re-usable mug!

Spring Groundbreaking and Clean-Up Day, Saturday April 10, 11 a.m (Weather Permitting) After the "Growing Tomatoes" workshop, we'll head over for some clean-up and hopefully we can start digging! We're renting a roto-tiller and will need volunteers to take turns with that, we'll be picking up trash, spreading the wood chip mulch, and more! We'll have a pile of Oma-Grow be available for digging into your own plot.

Bring: gardening gloves, shovels, rakes, and wheel barrows. (Bring extras to share if you have them-- not all our members have gardening tools!)

Next Dundee Community Garden Board Meeting, Wed. April 21, 7 p.m. at Curt and Deb Hickman's, 1227 N. 53rd St. Board meetings open to all DCG members and friends.

Introduction to Gardening Workshop:
Saturday May15, 10 a.m. "Heirloom Plants and Open Pollination" at the Dundee Community Garden. (rain location A.V.Sorenson)
